Le Coloniche is situated in the rural district of Serravalle Pistoiese, whose history dates back to the high middle ages. In Serravalle Pistoiese there are the remains of Barbarossa’s 6^th century tower, and a 12^th century tower built by the army leader Castruccio Castracani.
